SEX AND THE CITY

A girls night out party–complete with Cosmos, a trivia contest and tickets for the Sex And The City movie.

I did this party on opening night at the movies for Sex And The City.  I hand made the invitations and found favors and prizes at Victoria’s Secret.  The store in the Spokane Valley Mall was fantastic! They provided all of the little VS bags and donated a great rhinestone studded “ANGELS” bag which I gave to the winner of the Sex And The City trivia contest.  All guests were given a VS bag filled with little boxes of VS mints, the original motion picture soundtrack, and a ticket for the movie.  The guests all brought an appetizer for the table and I served Cosmos and Nancy’s wonderful Chocolate Mocha Liqueur Cake.

Nancy's Famous Chocolate Mocha Liqueur Cake

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (18.5 oz) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 C vegetable oil
  • 3/4 C water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 C each: coffe flavored liqueur and vodka

For Glaze

  • 1 C granulated sugar
  • 1/2 C butter
  • 1/4 C hot water
  • 2 Tbls coffee liqueur
  • 2 Tbs vodka

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.  
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, oil, water, eggs, coffee flavored liqueur and vodka.
  3. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 50-60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  4. Pour glaze over hot cake while still in the pan.
  5. Let cake sit for 30 minutes before serving.

To Make the Glaze

In a small saucepan combine sugar, butter, and water and bring to boil.  Cook for 1 minute, remove from heat and stir in Coffee liqueur and vodka.
