Cloth Jewelry Box

Several years ago, I put together a couple of gatherings for my friends to enjoy a day of relaxation and personal development.  One was scheduled at the end of May and the other mid-July.  Due to circumstances, each day was done slightly differently, but the weather was delightful both days so we enjoyed brunch out on my large covered porch, under a massive canopy of maple trees.  Guests were given a list of items to bring for the day and encouraged to avoid eating anything substantial two hours prior to yoga.

Each guest paid a modest amount of money in advance to help offset the cost of the massage therapy services and for some of the supplies. The Master Gardener, (who treated everyone to an informative walk through the gardens for the spring retreat), and the Yoga instructor and Life Coach, (who led a workshop in the summer retreat),  all volunteered their time and enjoyed the day with us.

Upon arrival, each guest was given a large, whimsically decorated, box of goodies for the day which included; bottles of healthy drinks, chilled eye masks, rubber duckies, (all different and fun styles), and a variety of Bath and Body Works products.

At the end of the day, I served a formal early dinner and placed a handmade card and fabric jewelry box at each place setting.  (The card served as a place card).
