The Season For Thanks and Giving
We are coming to the end of a wonderful Thanksgiving day and I am filled with more than a spectacular meal. My heart is full of gratitude for our many blessings and the wonderful people we are so fortunate to have in our lives. I think that we all can agree that this year has posed a very unique set of circumstances which have also presented us with so many possibilities.
Since this is the season for thanks and for giving, I would like to express my thanks to you for reading my musings, for playing along with my quirky ideas and for the support I feel every time I receive one of your encouraging messages.
There has been a lot of quiet time during quarantine which has provided me the opportunity to slow down to notice things and make some really great discoveries. I have included a few of them below.
HINT: (As with most of my posts, check back soon and often because I will be adding to this list of great finds over the next few weeks).
Something For You
Every Friday morning, I look forward to sitting down with a wonderful cup of tea and looking in my email inbox for my weekly Annie Bites.
Two Minute Mornings
Okay, full disclosure–Tina Geithner shared this wonderful find with me and I am hooked. Several weeks ago she wrote about a simple thing to do every morning that really gets things started in the right direction. It is called Two Minutes to Better Health. After trying it out using note cards, I decided that this is an exercise I would really like to invest in. I took a small notebook, made a little cover for it and printed out the directions from the blog to serve as a guide. It only takes a few minutes, (a little longer than two minutes for me), and it gives me a great boost for the day.
In another post, Annie shares “The Four Agreements….”These agreements are based on Don Miguel Ruiz’s book, The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom.” This is fantastic and I refer to it often.
A Tasteful Choice
The Tea Spot is not only a great company offering some of the best tea you will ever experience, it is also a business with a special mission. The Tea Spot is “rooted in health and wellness, propelled by their founder’s recovery from cancer and her love for tea as a powerful and therapeutic elixir.” This company donates 10% of all profits in-kind to cancer survivors and wellness programs.
I often refer to my home immersion circulator as my new best friend. It is wonderful for trouble free, delicious and nutritious dinners and invaluable when entertaining. If you enjoy a steak cooked just to perfection, host dinner parties, or are a busy parent who is looking for a way to prepare home cooked meals easily, this is the thing for you!
Something Special to Give
If you are looking for that special something that will make your special someone feel like you are wrapping them up with a big, warm hug– this book may be just the ticket.
At first blush, it looks like a simple children’s book, but don’t let that cover fool you. I was not only taken by the contents of this book but even more so by its author, Charlie Mackesy.
A Gift for Your Fur Baby
Your dog deserves the best and Trader Joe’s BIY Dog Biscuit Mix is a fun find. It is only $2.99 a box and there are several suggested flavor variations right on the box.
